February 2013, Sherbrooke – Financial support from the CMI Green Fund has been granted to ENV consultants, a subsidiary of Viridis environnement. In partnership with the IRDA and the Régie de gestion des matières résiduelles de la Mauricie, the project aims to develop a technological chain for packaging dead leaves from the municipal sector in order to eliminate their landfilling by transforming them into a quality, value-added product available for use in agriculture, particularly for direct application in the field. This technical research project will take place during the next dead leaf collection season in the fall of 2013.
