July 2012, Saint-Narcisse – The CMI Green Fund is participating in a project to plant a windbreak hedge between the municipality’s wastewater treatment lagoons and public recreation areas. The branches and leaves from the hedge’s cedar pruning will be given a second life by providing an essential oil, which will be extracted from plant tissue by a local company. By supporting this project, the CMI Green Fund’s administration committee wishes to support the municipality in its efforts to replant, beautify and promote sustainable development.
