February 2013, Trois-Rivières – Renaud Lapierre, president of Viridis environnement, presents Marie-Pier Martineau-Bouchard, project manager, and Marie-Pierre Leblanc, coordinator of the organization Démarche des premiers quartiers de Trois-Rivières, with a cheque from the CMI Green Fund. su_spacer size=”10″] This financial support will enable the implementation of garden bins and home composters in disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Trois-Rivières. Also planned is an educational component to raise awareness among a population with little schooling and various training sessions for residents: design of bins and workshops on gardening, composting, cooking and food conservation.
